Telephone Counseling

0180 33 19411

Calls cost 9 cents/minute from German landline telephones and a maximum of 42 cents/minute from German mobile phones.

At our national telephone counseling number you will be advised by qualified staff of local HIV/AIDS service organizations from all over Germany.

Ask us:

  • How to protect yourself against HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Whether you might have been infected.
  • Whether an HIV test makes sense.
  • Where you can get tested.
  • About emergency measures after a high-risk situation (PEP).
  • Where there is an HIV/AIDS service organization in your area.

Our counselors are employees of 28 different, regional HIV/AIDS service organizations. They have in-depth knowledge about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases and regularly undergo further training. In addition, they are specially trained for telephone counseling and are in contact with other professionals to talk about the daily routine of a counselor.

The following HIV/AIDS service organizations participate in our nationwide telephone counseling program: Berlin, Bielefeld, Bochum, Chemnitz, Cologne, Dortmund, Dresden, Duisburg/Kreis Wesel, Frankfurt/M., Göttingen, Hagen, Halle, Hamburg, Heide, Kassel, Karlsruhe, Kiel, Magdeburg, Munich, Münster, Nuremberg, Oberhausen, Olpe, Leipzig, Troisdorf, Rostock, Schwäbisch Gmünd, Stuttgart and Weimar.

This service is coordinated by the Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe.
