Personal Counseling
Personal counseling offers you the opportunity to speak face-to-face with a counselor.
The counseling session is free of charge. You can schedule an appointment by phone with your local AIDS service organization. A directory of AIDS service organizations in Germany can be found here. We are also happy to provide you with the contact information for an AIDS service organization near you through our telephone and online counseling service.
During personal counseling, you can ask all your questions about HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. If you are HIV-positive, we are also happy to advise you on everyday problems as well as social and legal issues.
Possible topics include:
- Fear of potential HIV infection
- Difficulties in dealing with HIV, for example, within the family or at work
- Finding doctors
- Discrimination due to HIV
Our counselors can also provide you with addresses of other services in your area.
