About Us
The online counseling platform www.aidshilfe-beratung.de is a service provided by the German AIDS Service Organization (Deutsche Aidshilfe). Counseling is offered by qualified staff from currently 20 regional member organizations.
The counseling service addresses questions about HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. It also covers the broader topics of sexuality, health, and sexual well-being.
The counseling professionals have in-depth knowledge of these topics. All staff members are committed to jointly established quality standards. The quality of the counseling is ensured, among other things, through continuous professional exchange and regular training.
Funding
The nationwide online counseling service at www.aidshilfe-beratung.de is funded through a cost-sharing arrangement between the German AIDS Service Organization (Deutsche Aidshilfe) and the participating regional counseling centers.
To maintain the central counseling platform, the German AIDS Service Organization receives funding from the Federal Institute for Public Health (BIÖG). The regional AIDS service organizations provide their counseling services partly within the scope of their regional mandate for prevention and counseling. To ensure comprehensive, nationwide coverage, they also receive additional support from the Federal Institute for Public Health (BIÖG).
